It has not been going well. It’s like 2005, 2006 all over again, only this time, it’s not because I don’t have the will to do it, it’s just that school and work has been taking up so much of my time and energy that I’ve got nothing else for NaNoWriMo.

It’s almost half way through the month and I’m so far behind the word count that I’m not going to be able to catch up at all. As it is, my word count has been miserable and the story that I originally came up with isn’t working out for me either. So at the write-in yesterday, I started a brand new one. It’s one of the plots that I’ve had bouncing around in my head for a while, something that I came up with at the heels of the collapse of a long term relationship, earlier this year. I must say that it has not been easy to write it since it makes me relive some of the pain and hurt but I think it’s a good way to finally put those feelings to bed.

I do want to finish the horror story that I started but maybe not now and most probably edited to the point of not resembling the original story. I ended up writing a romance again since that’s the genre I’m most comfortable with and it’s easier for me to write. So we’ll see how far I can go with that plot idea and if I’m even going to finish it.
