Count Down to NaNoWriMo: 6 Days

It took the longest time for me to decide on a plot and finally I have. It’s totally clichéd but for me, NaNo is the time for me to indulge in the clichés and the Mary-Sue-ness of everything. I just find it totally fun. I don’t even have a working title as of yet but it’ll come to me. Eventually.

This year, I’ve not had the time to actually do some research and I’m totally going to wing it. As in, totally writing out my ass. My schedule is going to be tight and I’m foreseeing the return of the carpal tunnel aches. I’m already short on sleep, so what’s a little bit less sleep and a little bit more aches and pains?

I might still change my mind about the plot since the little horror short that I wrote way back when is actually nagging at me at the back of my mind. I’ve been known to scrap what I’ve written and then start over from scratch, right in the middle of November. It was no surprise that I didn’t finish it that year but it definitely was an experience.

So yes, every NaNoWriMo is a learning experience and each year brings with it challenges, which I usually get through. I’m hoping that this year would be the same but as to how grounded I am in reality by the end of November remains to be seen.
